Good Living - A Journey Through "Just Pursuits"

"When we chose to work up the ladder of our own life, what matters more at the individual level is the just pursuits we undertake."

Erik McLean

The journey towards good living need not be money centric

Money is an essential element to good living, no doubt. But the internal comfort is all more important.

In the scheme of things of present day living,  internal comfort arises mostly if that money is raised through one's own - Just Pursuits®

Many people miss out the concept of internal comfort through just pursuits. They end up either unable to consistently earn or lead an incomplete, dissatisfied or an conflict filled life.

Either way they aren't happy.

"Individual just pursuits® takes one through the journey of self discovery, an individual pursuit with no pre-set path, and one has to work through and discover what that means to the self."

"The secret for leading a good life is not to mourn for the past nor to worry about the future by anticipating troubles, but to live the present moment fully, wisely and earnestly."

There is no point in worrying about the things that are beyond our control, and this is the primary way to stop negative thoughts.

Harboring too many self opinions about what happened and then over analyzing the past will result in - Present paralysis.

Instead, it's best to garner as much insight as possible before plunging into something.

The insights gained will prevent disastrous actions akin to past patterns from re-appearing and prevents us form committing the same mistakes over and again.

Good life also means wearing a nice smile at all times!

They say,

"What sunshine is to flowers, smiles are to humans."

Smile has a rejuvenation effect to both the giver and taker.

Good life means laughter too. Life's giggles have meaning.

Good life can be only enjoyed by a calm mind not an agitated mind, the fundamental human nature is to be happy and enjoy life.

We need to learn to calm our minds to both be happy with ourselves and peaceful with others.

Calm mind also breeds patience.

"Good things comes to those who wait."

It's said,

Good things take time to happen and calls for lots of patience.

Good life also means there's some consistency and certainty to life.

There's one key to consistency and certainty to life, while its impossible to be certain in life, since uncertainty is the biggest mystery of life. But one key element can bring it closer to it and make a good life, that key is called - Hope.

Hope is the reason for people going to places of worship. For people praying.

They say,

Yes, Hope can move mountains.

Meaning, it can help solve mountainous problems residing within people.

Hope makes everything work, faith makes everything possible, and love makes everything beautiful.- PsyYoga.org

Hope can be a powerful force for some living on the edge of life, living in extreme difficult situations, living in the dark era of their life, in the depths of poverty, in the dark tunnel of disease, only "Hope" gives them some reason to live on.

Good life begins with gratitude.

Everyday, feel that one has been bestowed with a beautiful, precious life richly blessed to experience with all its vigor and vitality, in all its vivid colors, magnificence and abundance.

Today, we are at the helm of so many support systems, tools, technologies, resources and capabilities at our disposal.

This is the result of shared knowledge.

We reached here in the point of history due to this 'Shared knowledge' and 'Shared prosperity.'

At no point in human history have humans been so capable and connected.

All of this developments and tools can be used either way, it's wiser to use it towards living a good life.

Today, we are also special as human beings.

Yes, when we look closely, there's a trend, humans on earth wants to protect all thing that has nurtured them, climate, soil, environment etc., at least there's a thought in this direction, after the dreaded pandemic and climate disasters.

Like a small child who doesn't want to let go of its past memorable toys we, humans are now going one step ahead and discussing ways to protect our Planet, our Eco system, our Planet's resources.

This kind of thought definitely point to a good life and good living.

How much all of this climate concern makes practical sense is a different subject, but the mere thought alone is something special to a common human inhabiting this planet with an exploitative mindset.

The reason for that thought is that, people started to realize the importance of preserving our planet.

Only a good planet can give a good life. - PsyYoga.org

Thus preserving and nurturing this planet is vital.

Imagine turning back the clock of mother earth and bringing back the absolute beauty and abundance that existed before the reckless exploitation post industrial revolution.

Before GM foods happened!

Imagine bringing back the glory of our VirginEarth®

That once existed.

Its pristine river streams, abundant and pure air to breath, clean and beautiful oceans, and yet all.

Can we bring that Virgin Earth Back?

A beautiful life means more than at the individual level, its universal and global. It truly reflects in the life of a civilization.

Good life begins with the concern for life around us.

Concern for the flora and the fauna. The connectedness to our fellow humans and the value we bring to our society.

Good life is when we do what we can do in the conservation spirit, doing good to the planet, society and thus ourselves.

At some point in our life, we just need to take time off from our daily work and focus on our larger needs.

We need to focus on our wholesome wellness and start a journey of 'Good Life Routine,' take up an individual Just Pursuits with no pre-conditions or preset path so we will have the freedom to discover and do things that mean valuable to the society at large.

This also gives us the opportunity to have a second look at our life and not take our life and time on planet Earth for granted by tirelessly working without much good experiences in life.

Begin with observing all the activities closely, on what we eat, how we eat, our sleep patterns, our relationships, energy fluctuations, weather changes, observe nature very closely.

Practice deep breathing and PsyYoga to feel the inner self within our body. We need to give time, get awareness and some self love to etch towards a good life.

Leading a good life is the true luxury of life.

Feel the divinity within your body through the practice of PsyYoga, then slowly start to build your personality that's unique to you, well balanced glorified with integrity, kindness and truth."

We will start to listen more and also speak more kindly.

This will lead us to get awareness on our purpose on this planet.

Our mission.

Once a disciple had asked this question to a renowned Indian guru:

Can humans become god?

His answer was:

Yes.

It's said, thousands of years ago, in the Vedic scripts its mentioned that:

Humans are the true images of god." - The Veda

This concept is known as "tat-vam-asi" that means "You are God," Sanskrit.

And that is why in India, the ritualistic "Namaste" is done to greet people. Symbolically praying to the other person with folded hands as though that person is the God. Folding  hands to pray to that god within the other person.

Good life begins when we come to understand that the universe is a "Devine system," (not a spiritual system that belongs to some sect of religion), its a self governing energy system that's beyond the confines of the human soul.

All the energy and intelligence seem coming from a central force. Spiritual masters in India call this "Causeless cause" and science calls this a "Black hole."

We humans are a tiny little speck on planet Earth and almost invisible in the scheme of the universe, lets try to make a mark and lead a good life by being moderate and tolerant to all species.

So let's not complicate life.

There's no one way or one door to a good life, have some individual Just Pursuits that's unique and that pursuit must help you to:

Stay simple, have a goal, not envy, be spontaneous, breathe better, breathe wisely, breathe happily, speak kindly, find your purpose, understand the spiritual value and connectedness to everything including relationships, have a calm mind, have a goal, fulfill your duties and responsibilities, do Yoga, run, walk, learn a skill, focus on a larger picture to avoid traps, be spirited, be energetic, walk away from unpleasant people and unpleasant situations, be strong internally, be grateful, live with dignity, value people and all creatures and feelings, keep life uncluttered, have a routine and systems in place, listen more, read more, do more, create something, reduce expectations and toxic desires, cultivate kinship in society, help others, keep surprise and inquisitiveness alive, have compassion, have taste in life and living, have control on thoughts and emotions, focus on strengths, love and be loved, observe and pay attention to life, embrace different experience in life, be unique, enrich every moment of life.

Feel alive and have a Good Life.

Happy days.
