Self-Enquiry - The Path of a Seeker Towards Self-Discovery

The Higher Self

credits

"Knowing thy self is knowing the universe"

This above saying had previously been employed by Joseph ibn Tzaddik (d. 1149 AD) as proof that man is a microcosm of the universe; so that by knowing oneself, one will come to know all corporeal and spiritual things, and ultimately God.

Self-enquiry is the path to knowing oneself.

Self-Enquiry

Knowing oneself with self-enquiry is the path to reach one's higher self.

A person in self-enquiry continually seeks the basic answers.

The basic question that the person seeks within is nothing but his fundamental identity; ‘Who am I and what got me here.

This is the question a spiritual truth seeker's who seeks metaphysical explanation of the meaning of life asks to gain uncommon knowledge of Universe and Life.

Now, with this question, one gets to the Seeking Mode.

The truth is, all the answers one seeks are well embedded within each one of us.

All that is needed is to follow the true purpose of life, that is to decode as many answers as possible in this little life span. This awareness itself elevates one to seeker mode from just random living mode.

"Self-Enquiry is the path to Self"

PsyYoga and Meditation is the key to understanding the unique nature of the psyche and self of the person, and still the ravaging and chaotic thoughts of the mind.

The higher person who has attained the ability to fully understand his self gets to the source of his self.

The source of the self is basically called 'The womb’ of the self ' where the self is actually born and identified with that person.

This source is nothing but the pure silence within, and true knowledge of the self - called the supreme knowledge, where one experience a blissful state.

Various ancient texts endorse the fact that the supreme knowledge of a person is nothing but the complete knowledge of the self.

In this supreme knowledge one become truly powerful.

One realizes that:

"The universe around is nothing but the refection of the self."

Learning the mechanics of the universe is what our education system does and  is miniscule compared to the full knowledge of the self.

 The Guru

A person who has understood 'The Self ' fully lives unperturbed, peaceful and happy yet, has the ability to give abundant knowledge and joy to others.

Such a person is revered as the ‘The Guru’.

One becomes a Guru when one attains a powerful state of supreme knowledge and thus can anticipate and even predicts events that might happen in the future in his/her life.

Guru is One who has completely understood his/her self and has the ability to guide others too.

Does rituals, beliefs and costumes constitute a Guru?

No

Ritual, Beliefs and Costumes doesn't constitute a Guru, they are simply for enriching the experiences and reinforcing it,

Does Religion constitute a Guru?

No

Religion may influence, but has no role in the life of a Guru.

Guru is an inner embodiment, a truly valuable person for humanity.

He can be from any religion and any belief system.

The gaze of Guru is believed to be enough to change things and set things right for most people.

Sometimes, the Guru is known to influence actions in the universal scheme of things like bringing rains during drought, even calming the ravages of nature and bringing in harmony and peace.

A truly ‘Blissful Soul.’

Happy Days!
